Today felt different—in a gentle, almost magical way. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror, and for the first time in a while, I didn’t immediately search for flaws or things to fix. Instead, I paused. My reflection looked… soft. Confident. Pretty. And I let myself feel that without arguing with it.
I don’t know what exactly brought it on—maybe the way my hair fell into place, or the calmness in my eyes, or just the little burst of self-love that decided to show up unexpectedly. Whatever it was, I wanted to hold onto it. So I lifted my phone, struck a pose, and snapped a picture.
It wasn’t about trying to be perfect. It was about honoring a moment that made me appreciate myself. A small act of self-celebration. I angled my shoulders, lifted my chin slightly, and let myself smile—an honest smile, not the kind I force when someone tells me to “say cheese.”
As I looked at the photo afterward, I felt a sense of warmth. Not because the picture itself was extraordinary, but because I allowed myself to feel extraordinary for a moment. And that felt rare… and precious.
It’s funny how something as simple as taking a pose can become a tiny act of healing. A reminder that I can feel good about who I am—inside and out—if I give myself permission.
I hope I remember this feeling. I hope I create more moments like it.
